dual-boot must die

The first law of dual-booting is that the application you need is always on the other OS. If you need both X and MS-Windows applications, one approach that works for some people is to run an X server on the Windows system. If you want to try this, you can get an evaluation copy of the Starnet X server at http://www.starnet.com/cebit2002.html

(Disclaimer: I don't do this and will mock you if you do. But at least it's not as dumb as dual-booting.)
